Experienced Contractors in Ohio
With Joseph Home Improvement, you’ll get the services of accomplished tradesmen. Our company motto is “Where Quality Comes First!” and we stand behind these words: every job we do will be completed with superior workmanship and satisfaction guaranteed.
Joseph Tomasulo
Joseph entered the real estate field in the 1990s when he was buying, selling, rehabbing and renting his own homes. He then branched out to work on other people’s houses, tackling projects such as drywall finishing and carpentry. From there Joseph got into the tile installing trade and has been doing so professionally now for over 15 years..
Joseph is also a professionally trained plumber. He served his apprenticeship with the Cincinnati Plumbing Apprentice program. In 2012, he became a full-time plumber; four years later, he was licensed by the city of Cincinnati as a Journeyman Plumber. Joseph’s personal philosophy and style is to under promise and over deliver.
James Harrington
Following his service with the United States Navy, Jim headed to Portland, Oregon, where he apprenticed in painting and wood finishing. He left this union-sponsored program as a journeyman painter; his work specialized in layered wood finishes like stains, glazes, lacquers, sealers, polyurethanes and synthetic enamels for high-end residential homes.
A move to Maui in 1988 gave Jim the chance to work on celebrity homes, including those of Oprah Winfrey, Clint Eastwood and Richard Chamberlain. In 2014, he relocated to Ohio to be closer to his daughter — a move that also gave him the chance to work with his son-in-law at Joseph Home Improvement. Today Jim’s abilities — most notably his dedication and close eye for detail — continue to impress customers; he consistently gets 5-star reviews and has a near-perfect “A” rating.
Our Work Process
The initial step for a job is for either Joseph or Jim to visit your home in order to talk in person about the work you’d like done. Next we’ll offer you a detailed estimate, or we can arrange to handle your project on a “time and material” basis at our fair, honest rates.
We do ask for a deposit to add your project to our calendar. On the start date for the job, we ask that all material costs (as agreed upon and/or outlined in our estimate) be paid. For large jobs, we also ask for weekly labor draws. Of course, our work won’t be complete until you’re 100% satisfied — only then will we collect the final payment.
