Joseph Tomasulo
In the 1990s, Joseph entered the industry of real estate when he was buying, selling, rehabbing, and renting his own homes. Later on, he then branched out to work with other people’s houses, discussing and tackling projects such as drywall finishing and carpentry. From these experiences, Joseph got into the carpentry and tiling trade and has been doing it professionally now for over 35 years.
Aside from his knowledge of real estate and carpentry, Joseph is also a professionally trained plumber. He served his apprenticeship with the Cincinnati Plumbing Apprentice Program and became a full-time plumber in 2012. Four years later, he was finally licensed by the city of Cincinnati as a Journeyman Plumber. It is Joseph’s philosophy and style to underpromise and over-deliver.
Today, he continues to show his professionalism and skills in plumbing by providing top-notch, unmatched, and reliable plumbing services in Mason, OH, and its citizens.
James Harrington
After Jim’s service with the United States Navy, he headed to Portland, Oregon, where hs apprenticed in painting and wood finishing. Jim left his union-sponsored program as a journeyman painter. His work specialized in layered wood finishes like stains, glazes, lacquers, sealers, polyurethanes, and synthetic enamels for high-end residential homes.
When he moved to Maui in 1998, this gave him a chance to work on some celebrity homes including those of Oprah Winfrey, Clint Eastwood, and Richard Chamberlain. In 2014, he chose to relocate to Ohio to be closer to his daughter. This move also gave him a chance to work with his son-in-law at Joseph Home Improvement and Plumbing. Today, Jim’s abilities, dedication, and a close eye for detail continue to impress customers and clients.

Our Work Process
If you choose Joseph Home Improvement and Plumbing as your contractor, expect that our initial step for the job is for either Joseph or Jim to visit your home and talk to you in person to discuss the work you’d like to be done. The next step will be for us to offer you a detailed estimate, or we can arrange to handle your project on a “time and material” basis at our fair and honest rates.
We will then request a deposit to add your project to our calendar. On the start date for the job, we will ask that all material costs (as we have agreed upon and/or outlined in our estimate) be paid. For more significant projects, we also ask for weekly labor draws. We will then collect the final payment for you only after the project is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the results.
